Condolences
I was so lucky that for 2 years each one of my days at work began with a call from Paul, and ended with a handshake next to the elevator from him. The time in between was filled with him checking in on how my kids were doing, reading the quotes on the whiteboard, and hearing him compliment anyone he felt deserved it. Anyone on the unit knew they earned his stamp of approval when he told them, "You're a really good nurse (doctor, social worker, aide, housekeeper, and my personal favorite? Secretary) ". The interaction between Paul & our staff was a dance that had been perfected over time.... and it was perfected, I am honored to have been able to observe that. He is loved. His absence will leave us with gaps in our day & holes in our hearts. To say he will be missed is an understatement. He will always be remembered.
