Although I left New York in 1977. I remember Tom as a fireball of energy. He was a life long friend with my Brother Bob. We connected a couple of times on my trips back to NY and he always had that energy. He will be missed.

My families condolences to your family! So sad when I heard it was Tom Hankey I knew him well back in school but have not seen him in a long time. I think my mother Patricia Lansing Barnes it’s his mother Carol’s cousin.

Tommy you will be missed by us all. Your smile, your laugh, your willingness and eagerness to lend a hand at the drop of a hat is the heart and soul of a great man. You my friend left us too soon but the memories we will cherish forever. I always looked forward to you stopping by the house for a chat and the laughs we would share. The neighborhood is in a great mourn and loss without you and I will always be grateful for everything you did for us all.. You would always say, “ I love you Dave and tell Jen I love her too before you would hang up the phone and I would always say it back and I meant it… You will be missed my brother and rest easy knowing Jen and I will always be there for Julie and Matthew ….
