Obituary of John W. Ayers

Liverpool - April 21, 2019. John W. Ayers, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on Easter Sunday with his loving wife, Stacey by his side. John was born in Rochester, NY, son of the late Vincent and Helen (Fairthorne) Ayers and served in the U.S. Air Force after high school. He was a dedicated employee at Eastman Kodak in Rochester for many years before retiring in 1992. John enjoyed baseball and was scorekeeper for the Hilton High School varsity baseball team. He also served as scorekeeper for the American Legion National baseball staff at the northeast regional tournaments. John enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Stacey (Lissow) Ayers; two brothers, Robert (Magdalene) Ayers of Texas and Steven (Patricia) Ayers of Hilton, NY; his sister, Marilyn Bryant (Bob Carpenter) of Bliss, NY; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass in Celebration of John's life was held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Christ the King Church in Liverpool, under the direction of the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home of North Syracuse.  A Memorial Tribute and Graveside Service will be held on May 4th at 2 PM at Parma Union Cemetery, arranged by Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton, New York.
