Obituary of Patricia A. Mayne

Spencerport - Patricia A. Mayne "Pat", after a lengthy struggle with cancer, passed away November 10, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Myrna Lupo. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Mayne; her daughter, Laurie Kitt (Mike) Hopsicker; her son, Matthew (Amy) Kitt; step-daughter, Brooke Mayne; step-son, Matthew (Tiffany) Mayne; grandchildren, Jeffery (Maddy) Hopsicker, Kevin (Kaiti) Hopsicker, Katie Hopsicker, Morgan Hopsicker, and Leila Mayne; great-grandson, Hughes Hopsicker; sister-in-law, Elaine Quinn Lupo; nephew, nieces, cousins and many friends. Pat felt truly blessed to have a large loving family.

Pat loved nature and all outdoor activities, hiking, skiing, swimming, and windsurfing all kept her going, but many times just sitting by the water at her Canandaigua Lake cottage (Pat's happy place) was all she needed. 

Pat had unconditional love for her family (daughter, Laurie and son, Mak) and when the grandchildren arrived, wow what a blessing as she watched them grow and mature into young adults.

A life time passion of Pat was "baton twirling". Pat was a competitive twirler in her youth, and later in life, taught baton twirling and dance for 30+ years at several town recreation departments. In August 1995, Pat was inducted into the NY State Twirling Hall of Fame in honor of the thousands of children and adults she had taught to twirl.

Most of all Pat was a loving and caring person to her family and many close friends.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3450 Ridge Road West, Rochester, NY 14626. Pat's Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10:30 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3450 Ridge Road West, Rochester, NY 14626.
