Forever a city girl, Madeline (better known as Sharpie, for her quick wit), was raised in Rochester, New York, attending Nazareth Academy, where she met lifelong friends. In her younger days, she loved to dance and had a close-knit extended family.
Madeline was known for her gift of hospitality and cozy, welcoming home. Long time Sunday School teacher at First Bible Baptist Church in Greece, NY, mother of seven children and foster parent, her home was open to many in need.
Madeline, also known as "Grammy”, leaves behind an incredible legacy of love and faith in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made Christmas and other holidays magical with her love language of gift giving and she celebrated the everyday simple things.
A private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Parma Union Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
