Obituary of Sabina Stanko
SWOYERSVILLE, PA - Sabina Elaine Pani Stanko, 91, formerly of Chestnut Street, Swoyersville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, suddenly at her home in Rochester, NY. Born in Swoyersville, PA on September 19, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Cacciatore) Pani. Preceding her in death are her husband, Joseph D Stanko, and brother, John Pani Sr.
She graduated from Swoyersville High School. Not only was she a wonderful mother and homemaker, but she also worked in the garment industry and cared for her mother for many years. A very talented seamstress and cook, she loved to crochet and design her own patterns. Always with a smile on her face and an outgoing personality, she had an extraordinary talent for getting people to open up and tell her their life story. She will be missed dearly by her family. Surviving are her two daughters, Anita Stanko, and Patricia Stanko and husband, Jason Franz, sister, Angelina Watkins and many nieces and nephews.
Internment and services will be held at a later date at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas PA.
