Obituary of George A. Blickwede

HILTON: George passed away on November 17, 2016 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; and his 3 siblings, Marilyn Schickler, Barbara and Lawrence Blickwede. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Jeffrey Gaudiosi) Kastner & Robert (Nicole) Blickwede; his step-children, Beth Durand & Michele Durand; his sister, Mary Castelein; his sister-in-law, Beverly (Terry) Achter; his son-in-law, Scott Kastner; his grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Danielle & Kayla; his step-grandchildren, Saffron, Sebastian, Danielle, Victoria & Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. After 2 ½ years, his bride Patricia called him to Happy Hour. George proudly served his country on an island 3000 miles away from San Francisco during the “great battle at Huntington.� George never met a stranger, so please come to read from the Book of George and ask for the special remembrance card. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 22nd from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Church in Hilton. Interment will be held in Parma Union Cemetery.
