Obituary of Kay F. Varlan-Britt

Hilton: Born September 7, 1941 in Hornell, New York & passed away November 25, 2015. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Harold & Ethel Fisher; and her first husband, Peter Varlan. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Larry; her sons, Peter (Kathryn) Varlan, Christopher (Stephanie) Varlan; her stepchildren, Douglass (Auseh) Britt, Jennifer (David) Soldow; 11 grandchildren, Katy, Abigail, Evelyn, Hannah, Mandie, Mallory, William, Benjamin, Rebecca, Brady and Mina; her brother, David (Mary) Fisher; her sister-in-law, Jane Kilmer; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Kay was an avid collector and dealer in antiques. For several years she operated her own shop in Village Gate and joined the Craft-Antique Co-op the first year it opened in Hilton. She was an active member of the business when it moved to Greece and became the Shops on West Ridge. Friends may call Thursday, December 3rd, 4-7 PM at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc. where her Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Hilton United Methodist Church Remembrance Fund in memory of Kay.
